We’ve taken actual satellite images from NASA and created a topographic globe of Vesta, one of the last remaining of the protoplanets discovered in 1807. Brilliant blue and green tones are mixed with deep reds to show the various elevations and terrain of the famed asteroid. Red hues show a higher elevation while blue shows the lower areas. Vesta is the brightest asteroid in the solar system, and is often visible from Earth with the naked eye, making it a favorite among budding astronomers and hobbyists alike.
